About Andy's 9ers Baseball Club
ANDY'S 9ers
Baseball Club
About Us:
Andy's 9ers Baseball Club is an 18 and under all-star
baseball Club. The teams are made up of very talented
players in the Greater Cleveland are who are chosen
through tryouts and scouting.
Andy's 9ers was created in memory of Andy Cheyfitz. A
1993 graduate of Brush High School, Andy played baseball,
football, and wrestled at Brush for four years. He also was
a member of the 1993 J.L Clevelanders Connie Mack
Baseball Team. Andy was a member of the 1994 John
Carroll University Varsity Baseball Team. Andy was
devoted to baseball from a very young age. Since he
began playing, he never missed a game or a practice. His
young life was unfortunately taken in a tragic car accident
on February 11, 1994.
We have chosen to honor Andy's memory by naming these
teams after him, his number 9, and by choosing players
with qualities similar to the ones Andy had. The teams will
allow area youths the opportunity to compete in Andy's
favorite sport.
